Party Recap...
Gumdrops, lollipops and candy gallore... Zion Keese is turning 4! The lollipop invitations were quite the prize at her pre-school and definitely set the tone for the party...
As guests arrived, we created a pathway with paper plates on dowels and cellophane-wrapped lanterns. We set up a ginger bread girl station where guests decorated their own gingerbread girl for a prize, we had a Sweet Spa set-up with nail technician (daddy), tattoos, purses, and candy-flavored lip gloss. If the line got too long for the spa, girls could jump, slide or shoot hoops in the huge moonbounce. Inside the basement, there was a fabulous candy display which included toothbrushes, sunglasses and princess toys, a dance competition, and Dr. Seuss' Happy Birthday To you on the gift table as the guest book. Each placesetting at the kids' food table had a candy topiary, plate, utensils were wrapped with candy necklaces... Zion requested an all girl party and I wanted to ensure that every princess in attendance had a blast.
Mission Accomplished!
Party Highlights
Best Moment
Watching the girls' faces light up as my hubby painted their nails.
Funniest Moment
When my hubby tried a cool trick in the moonbounce and wound up stuck and calling for help!
Best Dressed
The birthday girl, Zion, of course. I found a Carter's Birthday Girl shirt at Burlington Coat Factory for $4. I ironed her name onto the back. My MIL bought these multi-colored striped tights and a matching tutu. My favorite part of her outfit, however, were the Chuck Taylor sneakers I blinged out! On one shoe I put a cupcake and the other I put her name! The toes were so bling-erific and Zion loves to wear them still :)
What People Ate
Meatballs, Chicken, pasta salad, chips and dip, cupcakes, birthday cake, fruit platter
First To Arrive
My awesome and helpful mother!
Last to Leave
Ms. Sandra, Zion's teacher.
Best Dance Moves
Zion won the dance contest!
