Zoie's Minecraft Party Edition

I had a lot of fun planning the Minecraft party with my 10 year old. She had a lot of ideas and I learned a lot about Minecraft. To decorate the function room, I sewed the big Creeper wall decor using felt cloth. It took me a few weeks only working at night. I also made banners with my daughter's name and her age depicting Minecraft characters. I bought a helium tank to fill the Minecraft character balloons to decorate the place. My kid and I made the Minecraft cake and aside from it being a bonding activity for us, we saved a lot of money making the fondant cake ourselves. I bought a Minecraft Ghast head and did some modifications to turn it into a pinata. I added tentacles that the kids can pull to make the candy fall. I made sure all kids had a lot of sweets to munch on if they don't want to eat the dinner food that I had catered. For the dessert table, I made gelatin to represent water, slime and lava. My friend made custaroons (custard and macaroons in one) to represent gold. I made rice crispies and turned them into emeralds and coal depending on colors. I ordered Minecraft caps and plushies as well as Minecraft pins to give out as prizes. Every kid received 2 bags. 1 full of treats and another 1 that had a Minecraft toy box and Minecraft lanyard. The kids had an awesome time playing with the Steve and Creeper box heads as well as the diamond sword and pick axe that were at the party for them to play with. Overall, it was a great experience for everyone.
