Party Recap...
I styled this party for my daughter's first birthday. She is such a lady and has so many red, black, and white outfits. I figured a ladybug theme would be appropriate. I added some green (grass) to give the party a different look. I spent two months planning the party so I picked up various unique ladybug items I could find.
The first item made was a potted flower decoration piece - a sunflower in a green pot with green crinkly paper. We used ladybug adhesives on the sunflower for that extra touch.
The buffet table was decorated like a true picnic table atop fake grass. The center of the table featured a picnic basket with rolls for the hot-bugs that the kids ate. The table spread from there...fake plush ants, watermelon fruit bowl, cutlery in gingham napkins.
The dessert table featured so many delightful ladybug treats. The drink station featured a variety of sodas, ladybug water, and of course ladybug juice (Hawaian punch and blueberries.
The guests had a lot of fun in the photobooth! I made majority of the props - callouts were made using Microsoft Word and the mustaches and lips were a free download online. The backdrop was a reverse ladybug - black table cloth with red dots (from construction paper).
The banners were ordered from etsy - ASweetCelebration.
A friend of mine made the beautiful cake with toppers we purchased from etsy - parkersflourpatch.
I made the cupcakes (shocked myself) as I wanted to have made something for her special day.
The lady herself was dressed in a ladybug first birthday tutu from TickleMyTutu.
Overall, the party was a success! Everyone enjoyed themselves...especially our little lady!
