Party Recap

I was pretty excited for this rainbow themed party! Of course, the birthday girl didn't care about the theme, but I knew it would be cute.

I knew that most of the kids coming would be boys ranging in age from 4-10, so I was worried about activities. I ended up actually not doing any pre-planned activities & it worked out great. The boys played football while the few younger ones played around the house.

We had lots of sweets. Gummy bears & worms, gumballs, candy dots, chocolate covered Oreos & marshmallows, chocolate coins & Twizzlers. Potato chips & colored Goldfish took care of the salty snack. I forgot to take a photo, but I filled a drink dispenser with Sprite and tossed in some of those plastic ice cubes from the Dollar Tree to make it colorful. Of course we had to have the classic 6 layer rainbow cake. We also had rainbow cupcakes.

I made a colorful wreath for the door, as well as a felt bunting for the cake. Pinwheels from the Dollar Tree decorated one table. I used crochet face scrubbers as a banner. And you can't have a party without tissue paper pompoms. I found an adorable card that matched the theme, so I framed it & set it out as well. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, so feel free to ask!

Thanks! It's those popsicles that come in the plastic sleeves - I crushed them up one color at a time and put them down layer by layer. The kids LOVED it!

You're welcome! It was $2.48 at Walmart for a huge pack of them. It used almost all of them.
