Party Recap

I have a full party post up on my site:
www.sweetcheekstastytreats.com

The inspiration for this party came from some vintage Dick & Jane paper dolls my mother has had for years. I collected tons and tons of vintage schoolhouse items to help bring the party together.

Other highlights include custom party printables by Anders Ruff Custom Designs, Fort and Field and Pretty Little Studio.

Enjoy!

Party Highlights

  • Best Dressed

The Birthday Girl! I found a vintage party dress on etsy ;) It went with the theme perfectly and she looked adorable!

  • Desserts

I prepared all of the desserts! I made a 4 tier cake and a smaller smash-cake, Cake Pops, Apple Pencil Cake Pops (I posted a tutorial to make these on my site!), homemade marshmallows, pretzel dippers and decorated sugar cookies.

  • Activities / Games

We made a chalkboard table for the party and it was a HUGE hit with the kiddos!

  • Best Moment

Harper was busy-busy for the entire party chasing around the big kids. She dug into her cake like a pro...too cute ;)

  • What People Drank

I purchased Strawberry and Skim Milk Cartons from a local Elementary School for our Drink Station.

    Printables

Maureen and Adria created the most adorable, vintage school inspired printables for our party! They were a dream to work with and I absolutely ADORE what they created ;)http://andersruff.blogspot.com

  • Fort and Field

    Party Favors

Jessica has the most amazing collection of party favors and decorations. I loved the vintage-inspired schoolhouse penants she had in her shop and asked that she customize them for our party. They were adorable on the straws and the Apple Pencil Cake Pops!http://www.fortandfield.com

These are vintage Dick & Jane classroom cutouts. My mom had a collection of them that she let us use for the party...not sure if you could possibly find reproductions of them somewhere? Thanks!
