Beautiful party! I have two questions- if you are able to contact me through the site- where did you find your witch and tin man hats? And how did you do the center of your red poppies? I have been working on both of these and was excited to see you had figured it out!

Sorry for the delay! I just saw the comment. I spray painted regular party hats with chrome spray paint to make the tin man hats. I used the same hats for the witch, but cut a circle out of black 12x12 scrapbook paper. The inner circle was cut slightly smaller than the diameter of the bottom of the hat, then I cut slits up to the actual hat diameter. Then fold the slits up into the inside of the hat and hot glue. Afterwards I sprayed the whole thing black. Originally both the tin man hats and witch hats were red party hats from my daughter's second birthday party.

Oh, I ordered the poppies from WhimsyPie on Etsy, but later made some for another party. The center is folded separately and ends are cut like fringe (straight cuts). A smaller center is folded and V cut (with a point). place the smallest on top, then fringe-cut, then main flower and wire everything together. Open everything starting from the very center (V-cut tissue). It's actually super-simple, but it was worth it to me to order them from Etsy.

Thank you! I definitely will revise my poppies with those directions. I did find silver party hats and made some witch hats out of cardboard (I think spray painting was the right idea though!!). Our party is at the end of July- will post pics. Very inspired by yours :)
