I am a single mom of two girls ages 6 and 13. I absolutely LOVE crafting and DIYs. I kind of have an obsession with creating something unique, something that you can’t just walk into a store and buy. This started while planning my youngest daughters 2nd birthday party and after going to the party store I noticed that no matter what theme you chose every single item (cups, plates, table cloths) had the same print and almost blended in together. I was annoyed at how tacky everything looked together and the only way to avoid that was to incorporate solid colored items. Also, there aren’t that many themes to choose from so there’s a good chance that you or someone who would be attending your party knew someone who had those exact same party decorations. At the time I didn’t know anything about the World Wide Web of printables lol so.. I starting making everything myself. That following Halloween I came across this adorable skunk costume for little girls that was selling for $95 and was determined to recreate it to fit my budget. Moral of the story I was able to practically duplicate it for less than $20! Now everytime I see something I like I instantly think of ways to make it fit my style as well as my wallet! Over the last few years I’ve been “DIY’ing” party decor, home decor, Halloween costumes, tutus & headbands, wreaths etc. for any occasion.
