This is a chalkboard with a shabby chic, distressed purple frame. The chalk board is made of 1/8 inch thick recycled fiberboard and the frame is made of 3/4 inches thick wood.

This rustic-chic blackboard can function as:

- distressed purple and black, I created a special patina using natural pigments that gives the piece a rustic look -- please see the close-up picture with of the patinated frame; the frame is also varnished, so the varnish protects the colors

The chalkboard can be hung on the wall both vertically and horizontally (please leave a note when you order, so I know where to place a hanger, if you don't mention anything, I will send you a chalkboard that can be hung vertically), but it may also be displayed on a classy easel as part of a wedding party decor.
