Product Info

GOLD Wedding Forks: NEW Personalized Forks, Art Deco Wedding, Gatsby, Custom Initials & Wedding Date, Ornate Hand Stamped Gold Cake Forks, Gift Boxed, Two Rows, Wedding Reception Table Decor, Bridal Shower Gift, Engagement Gift, Gold Electroplate, Gold Forks, Gatsby Wedding, Bling Wedding, Glam Wedding, MR./MRS., MR./MR., MRS./MRS., Food Safe

Is your wedding theme Art Deco, Gatsby, formal, ornate, glam, or elegant? Is gold one of your wedding colors? Look no further for your new, luxurious, gold-plated dessert forks personalized with your initials (or MR./MRS.) and wedding date. (OR send me a convo to design your own hand-stamping!)

This listing is for one pair (2 forks) of NEW, exquisite GOLD-plated dessert forks. The forks are lovingly hand-stamped in two rows with the couple's initials or "MR." / "MRS." (or variations) over the wedding date. The personalized stamping is done below the fork tines using a coordinating, opulent, flourished font set (or other font set of your choosing). I also have dinner forks available in this pattern.

These "new old stock" (new, unused, discontinued pattern) forks are great for the newly married couple to serve cake to each other on their wedding day. These are perfect for weddings, bridal showers, and engagement parties. Makes a meaningful gift and memorable keepsake!

๐Ÿ’• ๐Ÿ’• ๐Ÿ’• The forks pictured are examples only, but your forks will come from the ๐ŸŒŸ EXACT ๐ŸŒŸ SAME ๐ŸŒŸ PATTERN. ๐ŸŒŸ The pattern by Wallace Silversmiths is "ANTIQUE BAROQUE Gold Plated." The flatware is composed of 24 karat gold electroplating over 18/0 stainless steel. The pattern features elaborately curling tendrils and flourishes along delicately pierced handles with abstract floral accents. Other characteristics include:

๐Ÿ’• Tarnish resistant gold-plating; purportedly never requires polishing
๐Ÿ’• Dishwasher safe per the manufacturer (but it is BEST to still hand-wash them)
๐Ÿ’• Gold-plating "tone" is a light yellowish, bright new gold color -- NOT brassy, dark, or orange-tinted, unlike some other vintage/older patterns of gold-plated flatware (IF you prefer a more brassy-gold/vintage look, please check out some of my other listings; you can also convo me about your gold-tone preference in the other listings)
๐Ÿ’• Crafted from high quality 18/0 stainless steel as the base material
๐Ÿ’• Dessert forks (pictured) are approximately 7.125 inches (7-1/8") in length
๐Ÿ’• Dessert forks (pictured) have a curved notch design at the top end of the far left fork tine
๐Ÿ’• Discontinued; pattern was produced in 2006-2007
๐Ÿ’• The forks are "NEW old stock" (i.e., no longer in production, but never have been used; *****but still can show light wear, dings, minor plate-wear, small scratches, and/or potential slight heel wear [back of spoons and forks] from storage but no damage or major plate loss)*****
๐Ÿ’• I also have a *limited* number of serving pieces that match this set (e.g., serving spoon, slotted spoon, metal fork, cake server, ladle, sugar spoon, butter knife, etc.). Please let me know if you are interested in one of these pieces and I can give you a quote based on what you want stamped.

โžฝ The forks were extremely difficult to photograph due to the shiny gold plating. I can share additional photos of the pictured forks, if desired. Just convo me. Any bright white, brown, tan, black, or pinkish colors on the forks are simply reflections & shadows from the photography process. There is NO discoloration to the forks.

โžฝ Because of the sensitivity of gold-plating, I will *NOT* darken the letters and numbers stamped on the forks. With the base metal being stainless steel, it cannot be darkened via natural oxidation anyhow, leaving only paint or permanent markers to color in the stamping. Paint and permanent markers are *NOT* safe for consumption, despite being labeled as "non-toxic" (see more info. below); those materials are non-toxic under "normal" use which does not include eating them / putting them in your mouth / having skin contact.

โžฝโžฝโžฝ Please allow 5-7 business days for production (prior to FREE Priority Mail shipping). This production time does not include weekends or holidays. Therefore your forks typically will ship approximately 1.0-1.5 weeks AFTER your purchase.

โžฝโžฝโžฝ Shipping is FREE via USPS Priority Mail, which includes insurance plus USPS Trackingโ„ข.

โžฝโžฝโžฝ Pictures are enlarged (close-ups) to show detail. The photos are not the actual size of the finished item. Please refer to the applicable scale information shown in the photos (i.e., the U.S. penny, the U.S. dime, the U.S. nickel, the ruler, etc.) and/or the listing description for actual dimensions.

โžฝโžฝโžฝ All pieces are handcrafted by me. Spacing between, and depth of, hand-stamped letters, numbers, characters/images, etc., will vary slightly between, and within, items. These small variations add to the charm and unique nature of each piece. They are not imperfections.

โžฝโžฝโžฝ From the drop-down menu, select a "Quantity" of "1" if you want one pair (2 forks).

โถ "Initials or MR/MRS?" = The gold-plated dessert forks will be hand-stamped below the fork tines with either the couple's initials on each fork or "MR." on one fork and "MRS." on the 2nd fork. The wedding date will be stamped beneath the initials or MR/MRS. The lettering/numbering will *not* be darkened in but is clearly visible. The letters & matching numbers are in the ornate font style pictured unless you request otherwise. Nothing will be stamped on the fork handles. Please select your preference from the above drop-down menu:
---------------------------------------------------------------
โ—† "Initials A & B" -- Initials in the format of "X & X" will be stamped above the date
โ—† "Initials A (heart) B" -- Initials in the format of "X โค X" will be stamped above the date (as shown)
โ—† "MR./MRS." -- "MR." will be stamped above the date on one fork with "MRS." stamped above the date on the second fork
โ—† "MR./MR." -- "MR." will be stamped above the date on both forks
โ—† "MRS./MRS." -- "MRS." will be stamped above the date on both forks
-----If you would prefer something else stamped above the date on the forks, please convo me about setting up a custom order. Please note that I do NOT have a plus sign ("+") stamp that is approved/rated for stamping on stainless steel, which is the base of most gold-plated, so I am unable to stamp a "+" between the initials.
-----If you would like the initials REVERSED on the 2 forks (as shown in the sample photos), please let me know in the 2nd drop-down box.
-----Please specify the initials you want stamped in the "Notes to AmySueCrafts" box at Checkout. This image shows where to specify your custom details during Checkout:
https://img0.etsystatic.com/194/0/5763117/il_fullxfull.1386212426_5e1e.jpg

โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… If you would prefer a DIFFERENT FONT for the letters or numbers or both, please convo me about the available options. I do have other sets, including fonts with both uppercase and lowercase letters in more traditional fonts as well as a script font and other Art Deco/whimsical fonts.

โท "Initials Format?" = If you choose to have your initials stamped on the forks, please let me know if you want the initials in the same order on both forks or in reverse order (opposite on each fork, as pictured). Please select your preference from the above drop-down menu:
----------------------------------------------------------------
โ—† "N/A" -- Not Applicable as you are having "MR." and/or "MRS." stamped on the forks
โ—† "Reverse Initials" -- On one fork stamp "A & B" or "A โค B"; on the other fork stamp it in the opposite order of "B & A" or "B โค A" (as shown in the sample listing photos)
โ—† "Same Order on Both" -- On both forks, the initials will be in the exact same order (e.g., both "A & B" or both "A โค B")

โธ The standard date format is "MMโ—DDโ—YY" (2-digit Month โ— 2-digit Day โ— 2-digit Year).
----------------------------------------------------------------
โ—† Like the letters, the date will *NOT* be darkened in.
โ—† Numbers in the date will have small centered dots ("โ—") stamped between them.
โ—† The maximum number of digits I can fit in the date is 6 digits (so the options are "MMโ—DDโ—YY" or "Mโ—DDโ—YY" or "MMโ—Dโ—YY" or "Mโ—Dโ—YY" or "Mโ—Dโ—YYYY")
โ—† Please specify the exact date you want stamped in the "Notes to AmySueCrafts" box at Checkout. This image shows where to specify your custom details during Checkout:
https://img0.etsystatic.com/194/0/5763117/il_fullxfull.1386212426_5e1e.jpg

โžฝโžฝโžฝ If you want to temporarily darken in the stamped characters (e.g., for photos), you can wipe a small amount of black food coloring paste, gel, or liquid into the stamped characters using a soft cloth, gently buff off the excess, and allow it to dry slightly. You can also use a black food coloring pen (often used to decorate cakes and cookies) to color in the stamping. However, be ***SURE*** to hand-wash the forks afterwards to remove the coloring, or the black coloring will get on your mouth and tongue while you eat with the forks.

โžฝ Any slightly blue, pink, brown, black, white, or other color of reflection appearing on the silverware in the photographs is simply that -- a reflection or shadow. There is no coloration on the silverware itself (besides the gold electroplating). Again, I do have additional photos of these specific forks that I can share with you via convo, if interested. These forks are very shiny, so they were difficult to photograph.

โžฝ The stamped characters/letters/numbers may ***APPEAR*** to be "darkened in" in the listing photos, but that is simply due to reflections/shadows and the photography process to help highlight the stamping and make it more visible. The letters/numbers/characters will NOT be darkened in, but are clearly visible to the naked eye and are permanent.

โ™ฅ Convo me if you would like to set up a custom order for different custom stamping (e.g., "BRIDE/GROOM" or "HIS/HERS" or "HUSBAND/WIFE" or "FOREVER/ALWAYS" or "HIS ONE/HER ONLY" above the wedding date or only 1 row of stamping instead of 2 rows).

โ™ฅ These forks are safe to eat with but can also be used as photo props.

โ™ฅ This set of forks comes packaged in a silver foil gift box ready for gift giving.

โ™ฅ The forks come with instructions on how to care for the gold electroplate finish.

โ™ฅ The two forks will be polished prior to packaging. They will be packaged in a single recloseable plastic bag and then folded over each other so that the bag prevents them from touching/rubbing/scratching each other during shipping.

๐Ÿ’• โœช ๐Ÿ’• โœช ๐Ÿ’• If you would like a variation on this listing, please convo me about setting up a custom order. I have a large selection of gold-plated dinner and dessert forks in stock. I can stamp words on the forks below the tines (e.g., bride/groom, HIS/HERS, etc.). I can stamp on the fork tines themselves. I can stamp information on the fork handles (e.g., wedding date, bride's/groom's name, last name, initials, etc.) of certain patterns. The possibilities are endless!

๐Ÿ’• โœช ๐Ÿ’• โœช ๐Ÿ’• I also have OTHER matching pieces in this SAME PATTERN such as serving pieces, spoons, tablespoons, dinner forks, knives, butter knives, sugar spoons, etc. I can stamp most of these other pieces to match your forks as well. Please convo me with any requests.

โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… All GOLD ELECTROPLATED silverware items designed for use with food do *NOT* have the hand-stamped letters, numbers, and/or design characters darkened in due to the sensitivity of the gold electroplating and due to the base metal (which typically is stainless steel and can therefore only be darkened in using NON-food-safe substances). However, the hand-stamped impressions are visible and will last forever. (See more information below.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please carefully review ALL of the below information prior to placing an order:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) What Exactly is "NEW OLD STOCK" GOLD-PLATED Flatware?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This means the flatware pieces are "new" in the sense that they have ***never*** been used but are from an old/discontinued pattern. Therefore the pieces may show signs of age due to storage conditions & storage wear and can have nicks, minor plate-wear, and/or small scratches. However, only the best pieces are used for my projects.

GOLD plating (electroplating) on flatware varies in color, thickness, and patina between patterns (and even between pieces within patterns) depending on the original design as well as due to storage conditions (e.g., humidity, pieces rubbing against each other [even through plastic sleeves], the cases/boxes being moved and jostled around, etc.).

However, these "new old stock" forks are MORE likely to be nearly flawless, uniform, and in "like new" condition than most of the other antique & recycled gold-plated and silver-plated flatware used by AmySueCrafts for creating stamped wedding forks. If you are looking for "new", then this is the type of flatware you need.

2) How Should I Care for My "NEW OLD STOCK" GOLD-PLATED Flatware?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please hand wash your GOLD-plated flatware. This will preserve the GOLD electroplating, making the flatware last longer. Mild dishwashing detergent, lukewarm water, and a soft cloth can be used to clean GOLD-plated flatware.

Although this pattern (Wallace Antique Baroque Gold-Plated) is reportedly "tarnish resistant" and can be cleaned in the dishwasher per the manufacturer, it is better to be safe and carefully clean the pieces by hand to avoid any scratches that could be acquired in the dishwasher as silverware pieces bump against each other.

It is normal for GOLD-plated pieces to darken and tarnish over time. Because of the electroplating, there is a risk of chipping the real gold when cleaning the pieces. A tiny bit of lemon juice or vinegar on a soft, damp cloth can be used to gently removed stains, but be sure to wash off the lemon juice or vinegar immediately when done because the acid can damage the electroplating. More detailed care instructions are included with the flatware.

3) Are the Letters/Characters Engraved?
-------------------------------------------------------
No, each letter on the flatware is lovingly hand stamped (i.e., hammered by hand by me). I carefully hand stamp each character -- one at a time. Therefore, no two pieces ever will be exactly the same due to the font/pattern used, the precise placement of each character, the character alignment, the depth of each impression, and stamp uniformity. This adds to the character, charm, and uniqueness of the pieces. Engraving is done with a machine, not by hand.

Because of the nature of hand-stamping, it is impossible to guarantee that 100% of letters/numbers/characters will be perfectly aligned. I am not a machine. In some cases, minor tool markings may be evident on the front and/or back of the flatware depending on the design & thickness of the piece.

4) Why Aren't the Stamped Characters Blackened In on GOLD-PLATED Flatware?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On GOLD-plated (gold electroplated) flatware pieces intended for use with food, stamped characters are *NOT* blackened/darkened in. This is because of the sensitivity of the gold electroplating and due to the base metal of the flatware.

Most GOLD-plated flatware has a stainless steel base. Stainless steel cannot be darkened in using natural oxidation (i.e., tarnishing). Stainless steel can only be darkened in using NON-food-safe chemicals such as paint or permanent markers. These products may be identified as "non-toxic" but are only labeled as such for "normal" intended use, which does not include putting the paint/ink in your mouth or eating it.

Although many permanent markers (such as Sharpieยฎ markers) are labeled as "non-toxic," it is misleading. They are "non-toxic" in accordance with their intended "normal use" purpose of writing, labeling, and drawing... NOT for eating. For example, ACMI certifies that Sharpieยฎ markers do not contain any materials in sufficient quantities to be toxic or harmful to humans. According to the institute's toxicological evaluations, Sharpieยฎ markers are not hazardous under "normal use" conditions. However, "normal use" does NOT include consuming any amount of the marker ink. This certification as "non-toxic" also does NOT mean that materials are not irritants or allergens. Such products are certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with the chronic hazard labeling standard, ASTM D 4236, and the U.S. Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act (LHAMA). For more information, you can search the Internet on topics such as "Are permanent markers toxic?," "What does ACMI AP certification mean?," "What is ASTM D-4236 certification?," or look up the MSDS for a particular brand of permanent marker.

And on ACMI's website, it reminds readers (1) not to put your pen in your mouth, (2) to avoid skin contact, and (3) to avoid eating art materials. Moreover, "never use products for skin painting or food preparation unless indicated that the product is meant to be used in this way." (https://www.acmiart.org/index.php/art-material-safety/safety-tips-what-you-need-to-know)

Buyers are cautioned to consider the health and safety of the intended recipients of their stamped flatware gifts. Sellers who do not disclose the method of darkening the stamped characters on their products intended for use with food may inadvertently be using markers/paints/products that, although possibly labeled as "non-toxic," still could be potential irritants, allergens, or worse.

The stamped characters on my coins, GOLD-plated and silver-plated garden markers (coming soon), silver-plated jewelry (coming soon), and silver-plated ornaments (coming soon) are colored with a permanent, water-resistant, fade-resistant black dye. Even this "permanent" dye will fade over time. However, those products are *NOT* food safe.

โ˜… Please convo me with any questions prior to ordering. I am happy to set up custom orders with different stamped designs (bride/groom, your names, his cake/her cake, I Do/Me Too, hearts, mr. right/mrs. right, etc.), or different options (stamping on the fork tines, stamping on the front and/or back of the fork handle based on the pattern, using unmatched forks, etc.), or using dinner forks instead of dessert forks. Thanks for looking!

โœ” Except in the case certain of ready-to-ship items, the items pictured are EXAMPLES ONLY; yours will vary based on your customization choices and natural variations in the hand-stamping process.

โœ” Care Instructions for Your Handmade Item:
- Avoid direct contact with lotion, oil, perfume/cologne, hairspray, sunscreen, bug spray, and other chemicals (e.g., harsh detergents, household cleaners, bleach, alcohol, acids, etc.)

โœ” AmySueCrafts accepts payment via ALL major credit cards as well as PayPal. Please convo me if you need further assistance. Please also note that payment by eCheck (checking account) or debit card may delay your order; those forms of payment often take 3-5 business days to clear the bank.
