I did this Merry Christmas banner very traditional. I used 4x4 inch white chipboard. I antiqued the edges with black ink. I hand stamped the fancy corner swirls with an evergreen acrylic paint and then added a few crystals to those accents. I used a Santa red acrylic paint when I hand stamped the letters. Note the flaws in the stamping process-that's what gives these banners their vintage look and feel. I used an evergreen ribbon for the main ribbon and added sheer red ribbon bows and a holiday themed ribbon tie to each end. I love the traditional/vintage colors and the total look of this banner. It's not too much so that it will work with many different styles of decor. These are my favorite colors for the holidays--but I can do this in your favorite colors if you want-message me and we can work out the details.

That measurement is just the chipboard side by side with out any space between. you'll get excess ribbon to spread out your letters and to hang it with.
