Party Recap
Our little boy turned 3! He absolutely loves "Little Blue Truck" the book by Alice Schertle & illustrated by Jill McElmurry. It is beautifully illustrated story about helping others, no matter how small you are. Our original party plan was to have it at a local "zoo" (Old McDonald's farm) but plans changed since it was only 45 degrees! Moving it to our living room was the best option.

How was the cut out of Little Blue with the animals made? Thanks!

We have a friend who does signs/large wraps (so we were a ltitle spoiled). If you call a large sign shop they should be able to do it . Have them put it on foam core & you can cut out the windows.

Hi!! We are planning a Little Blue Truck party. Where did you get the cake toppers and the cutout of the truck/animals if you don't mind sharing?!
Ashley M wrote:
The Blue truck I found at CVS, the animals were a set (in a bucket) at Walmart. The CAT dump truck was from his toy box! The cutouts I had made (we have a friend who does signage. They are printed on foam core. I think any sign shop could do them!)

What size cake did you use? My son picked yours off of Pinterest, so I'm just curious what size it would need to be to fit all of the toys. You did an amazing job!

I love the little truck favours...where did you find them?
Ashley M wrote:
Jessica - so sorry! Just saw your question! I think it was a 12 x 18. Melana - I made the trucks. They were actually unfinished truck wood ornaments from Hobby Lobby. I spray painted them & added the frog stickers (those were from Michael's) & hand painted the white & black. They didn't take too long, and I thought they'd actually be useful gifts (you can always use more tree ornaments)!

Where did you get the banner hanging on your fireplace? The one of little blue truck punch outs?
Ashley M wrote:
I made the banner using the Cricut at the scrap booking store. I think this truck was part of a Christmas cartriage. I just cut a bunch of the same size in blue & hot glued them onto some twine.

I realize this is several years old but do you remember where you got your dump truck from? I’m looking everywhere for one and can’t seem to find one the right size.

I think it was either Walmart or Dollar General Store. I remember it being really cheap!
