Party Recap

Recently I celebrated and hosted “A Baby is Brewing” tea party themed baby shower for a good friend of mine who was expecting a little girl. The soon to be mama is super girly, so I knew that a pale pink, white, and chocolate color palette would work perfectly. Below I describe all the details of the DIY decorations for this charming tea party.

For the table runners, I picked a vintage girly circle pattern (mostly all the table decor has a circle element to it). I measured three equal pieces and because I am not an expert sewer I used fabric glue to fold over, and clean up the edges.

The centerpiece accents were created from three small half tissue-kissing balls tied together, with a small toy baby carriage hung from the center. I bought the medium sized vases from the dollar store and added some ribbon for pizzazz. Then I simply set the kissing ball on top with the baby carriage hanging from the center.

I don’t know about you, but I get stressed having to cook for events I host, so for this shower, I created a funky brunch menu. The menu consisted of powered donuts, mini cinnamon buns, and breakfast bread with Jam. I also served finger peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bagels with strawberry cream cheese, and cupcakes for dessert.

The favors were hand made Carmel apples by the baby’s soon to be Grandmother. They were so yummy!

I just loved hosting this baby shower all the guests had so much fun trying all different types of teas and snaking while they played games.
