Party Recap

A good friend, Liz, who is a mom in my toddler playgroup recently hosted a woodland themed baby shower at her house for another mom, Stephanie, also in our group who is expecting her 2nd daughter in March. This was a afternoon baby shower play date that included moms and kids. Liz had so many amazing details planned, from the handmade fabric banners she made to mushrooms painted on craft paper and wrapped around the front of her house giving it a woodland fairy tale cottage feel. She also made mushrooms out of twisted craft paper that were scattered around the yard and made all of the woodland themed food. She made cake pops, fruit smoothies, adorable themed cupcakes, gnome fruit kebabs, mushroom toadstools made of tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, and mushroom shaped meringues. For activities, the toddlers could decorate brightly painted birdhouses with woodland stickers and there was a bird whistle station too as well as lots of fun toys to play with. There were also cute gnome hats and shoes to dress up in and take home as party favors. I assisted with the set up and was the main photographer of this super cute event!
Supplies were purchased at Michaels, Etsy, Sav-On Crafts (http://www.save-on-crafts.com/), and Garnish (www.thinkgarnish.com).
