Party Recap
This party was a ton of fun to plan. I kept the decor to black and red rather than incorporating her favorite Disney character, Jake.
My husband even got on board with making the pirate ship from cardboard and the mast holder out of PVC pipe. The walk the plank was a 2x10 that we screwed into two blocks to add stabilization. I added a blue plastic table cloth for water and paper shark fins glued to Popsicle sticks and stuck into styrofoam. Tick tock crock was cut out of a leftover cardboard box with dowel rods added underneath for stability. The photo booth props included $1 pirate masks that I colored, stick on mustaches that I added to Popsicle sticks, a few pirate hats and swords from Target and a wooden parrot that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
The treasure chest on the cake table held the party favors. The treasure chest on the food table was a $2 find at a craft store that I painted. I added plastic gold coins that I picked up from party city. All of the banners were handmade by me with paper and yarn on hand.
