Party Recap

We are all about a unique party theme over here! One of my daughters favorite things to do is to Hula Hoop. Once I found the company Hoola Monsters...we were all set to go.

Abby is the owner and operator of Hoola Monsters. She is even an ACE-Approved hoop dance curriculum and teacher training program. She was amazing to work with. Hoola Monsters dressed the groovy part, brought the hula hooping tunes, supplied the hula hoop crafting activity for every child attending the party, and this doubled as a take home for every attendee! Abby also led games and taught tricks and hula hooping basics to the kids. From start to finish the children were entertained and had a blast! Even some of the adults got into the groove and "tried" to hula hoop themselves! :)

I also contacted Andressa from Twinkle Twinkle Little Party to custom create the invitations and print outs to go with this groovy hula hoop party theme. Once again, she did not disappoint! We went with a turqouise and orange color scheme. The colors popped and since it was summer time, I found the colors everywhere to help decorate the tent.
I hand-made the centerpieces and filled the glass vases with fun candy for the kids to enjoy. Twinkle Twinkle Little Party also provided a "Get Groovy" sign where the kids accessorized themselves as they entered the party scene. There were hair feather clip ons, peace sign bracelets and rings, and even sport themed sweat bands for the boys to get into the mix! There was a Hula Hoop crafting station stokced with a color variety of duct tape. The children decorated and took home their very own custom made hula hoop! There was also a hair feather station and the girls still have thier feathers in a month later!

The menu was beautifully labeled with food tent cards created by Twinkle Twinkle Little Party. The menu included fluff and banana sandwiches, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, jello boats, chicken salad sandwiches, a fruit platter and vegetable crudite. The food prepared by the Tampa yacht and Country Club was amazing as usual.

The Birthday girl was dressed in her custom made Babrie Hula Hoop shirt and her Matilda Jane Clothing tutu skirt and lace knee high socks. She also sported Sketcher light up shoes as she hula hooped.

The gorgeous cake and cakepops were created by the oh so talanted Dreama from Dream Cakes in Tampa, Fl. Dreama followed the invitation colors and images. The cake was two tiered with orange and turqouise polka dots and Dreama even created a minature hula hooping girlie on the top of the cake! The cake looked and tasted Divine. despite the fact that the party was on the first day tropical storm Debby hit Florida, it was a fun and bright party all around and my daughter and her family and friends had a fantastic time!
