Candice: I made the backdrop with the rolls of plastic Table cover you can get from party city. It was a lot of draping and staples but the end look was exactly what I wanted. The Jellyfish were quite easy once I figured out how to put them together. I used one pink plastic table cover, cut it into strips and began ruffling them. (great job for the kiddos)I cut out a circle depending on how big I wanted it and put the circle on the middle of a piece of tissue paper, than brought the tissue paper in on all sides except a little opening I left to stuff a 4 gallon white trash bag. I blew up the trash bag which gave me a nice bubble looking top for the jellyfish. Than came my fave part which is I hot glued the pink tentacles on. One around the top to cover the tissue paper and then as many as you want to dangle. Its def. a process but for about $7 I was able to make 20. Super worth the time!

How and what did you use to make those pretty headbands
Mindy B wrote:
Dollar store 3pk headbands, ribbon to feed through holes, tule circle cutouts you can get from Craft store, sea shell, and little jewel stickers but I had to hot glue them which was a little tedious.

Where did you get the sea shell stands?
Mindy B wrote:
Rekia: if your referring to the dessert table I made those out of a wooden candle stick holders and a piece of wood. Just painted it with Martha Stewarts craft paints and hot glued the two together. You can find the supplies at Michaels craft store all for about $6.

Hello, if you don't mind sharing with me. Your Decoration DIY for the jellyfish ? I would love this for my daughter 1st bday. Thank you

Also, are those shower caps as the body?
Mindy B wrote:
the directions to the jellyfish are in my first comment to Candice. They are a little tedious but worth the work. And no the tops are not shower caps, its just a piece of tissue paper.

i would also like to know how you did the jellyfish...Best ones ive seen! :)

I believe that it is showe caps and that the tenticals are plastic table clothes. From other jellyfish I have seen they pull the plastic just a little to cause the ripples. You can also use paper or cloth lanterns for the jelly fish body. Hope this helps!

i dislike how she doesnt get back to use with a diy. These are made from tissue paper, and you can buy foam balls in a craft store, cut them in half and use it for the top of the jelly fish then cover it with tissue paper. you will need a glue gun (:
Ashley C wrote:
i think on here she put paper crumbled up for the head but i would buy the foam balls and cut them in half.
