American Girl Tea Party

Planned this theme for a year! We are all big American Girl fans and especially Kit Kittredge! The 1930s theme went well and the parents and girls LOVED it! The goodie bags were brown paper bags with a doily and ribbon attached. Each girl got: A handmade journal wrapped with lace and fabric [my amazing husband helped me make those], Flower pens [pens wrapped in floral tape with a silk flower attached to the ends], A wooden lace fan, the Meet Kit Kittredge book, some old fashioned candy and gum in satin pouches from Cracker Barrel, White gloves [dollar bin at Target], A Kit Kittredge word search [free, internet], Pearls were the invitation [with a bow tied to them].

We had the soundtrack to the Kit movie playing the whole time. It really set the mood! We decorated with the mini dolls. All the girls brought their favorite doll!

Menu: tea sandwiches, strawberries all fancied up with whipped cream, pink lemonade, Red Velvet cake and they each made a mini pie!

The party ended with the girls playing outside and the ice cream man showed up!

  Made their own mini Apple Pies, Duck-duck-goose, tag, whatever games they wanted to play!

  Watching my baby blow out her candles & hang out with all of her friends!

  just watching my daughter so amazed at how it all came together! She said it was the best birthday ever! [aww]

  When one of the girls reminded everyone to hold up their pinky when they drink their tea or pink lemonade!
