Audrey In Wonderland

Our client contacted Say I Do to Details, to plan an Alice in Wonderland inspired party for her daughter 7th birthday. My business partner, Sandra, and I, couldn’t contain our excitement, as we immediately knew how fun and creative we could get with this theme. Our client had one very specific request: We must have a “Giant Door Knob” at the entrance gate. Although Alice in Wonderland props can be very easily found for rent, we couldn’t find the perfect door knob ready to go. However, we didn’t let that detail get in the way. Sandra put her craft skills into action, and made an amazing Gold Door Knob from scratch, out of stare foam. The Door Knob was placed right at the party entrance, and it really made a statement! Now, we all know there is no such a thing as an Alice in Wonderland party, unless you “go down the rabbit hole,” and enjoy some “Tea O’clock!” For our “Down the Rabbit Hole” path, we added giant roses, a long with rabbits and giant playing cards. As the kids went down the rabbit hole, they entered the garden where they found Alice and all her friends for tea. We set-up a long tea-party table, with cute tea dishes, and hung paper lanterns over the table to add some color. We also hired a team of Alice in Wonderland characters that really kept the kids entertained with face painting, jewelry crafting, and balloon art. To finish all off, we had an amazing dessert table with cake, sugar cookies, pop and cupcakes, and “drink me juice.” Audrey, the birthday girl, had her happy birthday sang by Alice and her friends, and at the end, she ask to keep her special door knob.
