Party Recap
I had so much fun designing this outdoorsy backyard campout party. We had a lot of elements we wanted to include...a lot of food/dessert ideas; games; and activities.
We started the party with welcoming the kids to their rustic name sign activity, and moved onto games once all the party goers had arrived. We set up the dessert and food table ahead of time, so the kids were quite taken with all the treats, and could hardly wait to enjoy it all. We started with roasted hot dogs, then dove into the treats! Marshmallows on a stick with each letter of their name on a marshmallow...Matthew was the lucky one with the most marshmallows! We also roasted cinnamon buns on sticks...had to bbq them in the end so everyone got one before the party was over. Strawberries on a stick, bear cake pops, wood log cake pops, mud pies, s'mores and of course CAKE!! The cake turned out so great...I was so pleased!
The kids enjoyed the DIY games we made. Rock toss into the tin cans & ping pong ball shoot with water guns.
The sun finally went down, and we enjoyed some time around the fire pit with the kids all sitting on the birch logs. It was a really fun backyard party!
