Party Recap

A fabulous Lego-themed party for a sweet little boy who turned 6. The invitations were sent in clear acrylic pillow boxes with a handful of Legos which certainly got the invited guests excited about the party!

As guests entered they were able to enter a guess of the number of Lego blocks inside a vase. The winner won a Lego building set - actually we had 2 winners as 2 children nailed their guesses with the exact number of blocks - 106!
For seating, I painted white benches to mimic the look of randomly stacked Lego blocks. The table had additional Lego blocks for children who wanted to build other Lego creations aside from the big activity ...

Build your own Lego Racer!
Each child had an array of wheels, axels, blocks, and decorative items to create their own racer. We built two racing ramps where they could test out their creations before the 'Big Race!" This was certainly the hit of the party.

Additional activities included a Lego toss, an area for the toddlers to play with age appropriate Legos for them, a 10 foot wall coloring page, and a table where kids could draw their own Lego figure creation.

Our dessert table backdrop was a wall of Lego figure faces created from square yellow plates. The cake was constructed to look like Lego blocks and we used Lego building mats to stack additional treats such as rainbow jello.

To add a fun element to the drinks and refreshments, we wrapped juice boxes with colored cardstock in a Lego block-like pattern, added whimsy tags to straws and wrapped water bottles with custom labels.

Our favors were packed inside Lego man head shaped bags. Kids and adults alike got quite a chuckle from the Lego Man Poop (mini M&M's).
