Party Recap

My daughter wanted a cupcake party for her fifth birthday. We always do parties on a budget so we made it happen here at home. We made a ton of sweet treats (cake pops from Bakerella) and made cupcakes and frosting ahead of time. The kids wore chef's hats and aprons and were able to frost and decorate several cupcakes. We also played pin the candle on the cupcake. It was a lot of prep work but not expensive at all. We had a wonderful time. We also have a tradition of setting out a framed photo of each birthday so you can see how much the birthday boy/girl has grown and we also have a hardcover book that is the same theme as the party. Each guest writes a special message in the cover of the book. It makes for a really nice keepsake.
