Party Recap
When my youngest of three kids turned one this summer, I knew it had to be fun. He is my only summer baby, so I finally got to plan a party outside. My 2 older kids were Thing 1 & Thing 2, and the birthday boy was Cat in the Hat.
I made all the decorations and food. It was fun to make things not so perfect, like an off centered cupcake stand and tall skinny candy jars.
I fell in love with the red, white and teal combination of colors. The ‘real’ Cat in the Hat came to read a book and the kids loved playing all the games, including pin the tail on Horton

Hi! Beautiful party! I'm thinking of having a Dr. Seuss party for my sons first birthday also. Where did you find the large Cat in the Hat and the Thing 1 and Thing 2 picture stand?

Where did you get the dr.seuss paper that you made the pinwheels with
Nikka M wrote:
@ Erica- I'm not sure what picture stands you are taking about. I made most of the party...email me at [email protected] and we can chat there. Thanks, Nikka

@Brandy- I got that paper from Michaels Craft store. They have a Cat n the Hat section and if you look thru all that stuff there is a little kit to make pinwheels. I also saw that JoAnn Fabrics has the same little section. (dont forget your coupons when going to either store-totally cheap with a coupon!) Thanks, Nikka

@jessica- i made it- if you are in the seattle area we can meet, but if you are out of state- it costs about $160 to ship. not worth it. its made out of cardboard and acrylic paint. :)
