Earth Day Wall-e Family Movie Night
ByParty Recap
I created an Earth Day Movie Night themed to one of my kid's favorite movies, Wall-e. We had fun creating a centerpiece using Wall-e's cooler to collect trinkets and treasures from the movie... adding the Pixar ball as our own touch. My daughter had fun starting zinnia seeds to use as both the place setting and party favor in biodegradable peat pots. We chose an earth-friendly meat-free menu with customizable chickpea and fire-roasted tomato bowls, and included nods to the movie, like a Twinkie for dessert. We crafted a "down to the earth" fruit plate, along with serving locally made pita chips and hummus. It was fun and eye opening to work with my kids on this party for Earth Day and to consider how everyday choices can make an impact on our planet. Happy Earth Day!
