Elegant Bayou

An elegant swamp birthday party created for my 5 year old. Colors included lavender, green, and brown.

  Chocolate w/ butterscotch filling cake, gluten free chocolate cupcakes, caramel & chocolate fudge, almond bark, chocolate truffles, cinnamon donuts, sugar cookies, and beignets

• Activities / Games

  3 craft stations: Masquerade Masks, Ray's Firefly Friend Glow-in-the-Dark craft, and Not to Worry Dolls

• Party Favors

  The adults received homemade pralines; our infant guests received a storybook and either a prince or princess frog stuffed plush; the children received monogrammed aprons with a wooden spoon and frog prince or princess cookie cutter

• What People Ate

  New Orleans style food including jambalaya, red beans & rice, fried chicken, and chicken & dumplings

• What People Drank

  Themed beverages including Swamp Water (for the adults only), Mama Odie's Good Potion (raspberry lemonade), Facilier's Evil Potion (lemon lime punch), and Mint Juleps
