Fancy Nancy

I wanted to throw my mom, Nancy, a birthday party this year. I decided to go with a Fancy Nancy theme, but on a less than fancy budget! I made all of the grandsons and men matching "fancy" t-shirts and got the granddaughters and ladies fancy clothing too. We put on a surprise fashion show that was a huge hit. The kids worked the runway to Lady Gaga's "Poker Face"! The kids also made Fancy Nancy pictures and the adults filled in Fancy Nancy Mad-Libs. They were bound into a book and it was fun hearing the the Mad-Libs read aloud. We also had a photo booth, complete with Catch My Party printables. Everyone loved posing in it. After lunch we had cake and we all made our own parfaits. The kids loved this part the most. The whole party was fun, inexpensive and most of all FANCY!

• Activities / Games

  The grandkids surprised everyone with a fashion show. It was a huge hit. They also drew a picture of themselves with Fancy Nancy. The adults filled out a Mad-Lib that I wrote about Fancy Nancy. It was fun listening to everyone read them aloud. I bound all of these into a book for Fancy Nancy to keep.

  All of the food was made to be extra fancy. Oreos were dipped in chocolate, huge marshmallows were made into fancy Smores and of course we had a "make your own" parfait bar!
