Party Recap
My daughter is crazy about the movie Frozen so we wanted to do something a little different to stand out from the myriad of Frozen parties out there. We had the party guests meet at the local Ice Skating Rink where they received a skating lesson by an instructor and then they free-skated for 2 hours. After the skating session, everyone came back to our home to warm up with homemade hot chocolate and desserts. We had a great time creating a Hot Chocolate Bar - each of the guests had a personalized cup and various toppings (homemade marshmallows, whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, peppermint crunch).
For decorations, I strung cotton balls on fishing line to hang from the ceiling to create a "personal snow flurry" and created a backdrop with paper snowflake rosettes. The table runner was created using antique doilies sewn together as each one looked like a unique snowflake.
