Party Recap

My husband built our youngest daughter a lemonade stand for her birthday last year and this was the inspiration for her 9th birthday party.
I almost always design the invitations for my children but I let Lacey browse the pink lemonade selections on etsy and the one she picked is from HelloLoveBoutique. I love the darker shades of pink and the retro feel of the invitation.
I then picked fabrics in hot pink and yellow for the pendant and table runner and everything began to come together.
I love all things chippy and barn wood so I incorporated a few elements from the inside of my home into the outside for the party.
One of my favorite items from the party is a banner that displays a picture from each of her previous birthday parties. Just print 3x5/4x6 photos in black and white onto card stock and attach to scrapbook paper for the banner. I used my 2 inch circle hole punch to make the years and attached them to the banner with brads. So fun to see how she has changed and grown over the last several years and many of the party guests had been there for each one.
Our party guests dined on chocolate dipped Pringles and pretzel sticks, pink lemonade cookies, fruit and pizza bites. We also had coordinating gum balls in pink and yellow and rock candy for a little whimsey.
I designed water bottle labels and party favor toppers to finish things off.
My hope is that I am not only creating a party with style and beauty for my daughter but a platform for creativity that she will build upon as she grows up.
