Party Recap

I always wanted a Luau party when I was a kid! So I was excited when my daughter wanted one. Thankfully her birthday falls during the right time of year for it, too.

I found the invitations on Etsy. For favors we made popsicle soaps. We also had sunglasses, but I can't remember what else. I used $1 buckets from Michael's for the goody bags. We had a basket full of leis set out as well.

I made chocolate hibiscus lollipops & flip flops to eat during the party. For the cake, I used one of those pans with the doll and made a hula girl. I decorated the cake plate with some faux hibiscus flowers I found at the party shop. Cupcakes were decorated with paper umbrellas.

My husband built a limbo from wood he had laying around & some bamboo that had grown in our yard. We also set up the slip & slide and a huge inflatable easel we had. I made some sidewalk chalk paint for them to paint with.
