Luxe. Sweet. Love

It has always been my heart to provide brides and party enthusiasts alike with inspiration for planning their most memorable event. Before starting my company I was big do-it-yourselfer, so there is a special place in my heart for the modern bride on a modest budget. Our clients LOVE color, but are sometimes afraid of using it for their own events. I wanted to show how using a bright and bold color palette can still be sophisticated and sexy. I wanted this project to speak to the inner-child in all of us, show ways to have your favorite treats without losing elegance and style.

I am huge lover of unique finds and budget friendly luxe details. From the beginning I knew that custom sweets would have a major part in this décor plan. I showcased them by using different textures and displayed them at different levels throughout the space. I loved the idea of the bride and groom sharing their own little special box, filled with their favorite goodies. I used cupcakes because I love them. I am all for the traditional cake and cake cutting, but there was something sexy to me about the lovebirds sharing a single cupcake in a private and intimate moment on their own schedule.

The décor was enhanced by fresh pink roses, chic lucite boxes as center anchors and pretty mix of candle holders and small vases to hold the cupcakes. One of my favorite elements was the bride and groom’s chairs. These lush purple velvet chairs added an edgy yet regal vibe for the “occasion.” Combined with the rich pink bengaline fabric and the purple billowing crinkle fabric, it was the perfect backdrop for our beautiful “bride.”

I believe that ALL brides are beautiful and should be showcased on their special day. We really tried to highlight bridal beauty with this shoot. It was all about our bride’s elegance in this fabulous Oleg Cassini gown. We love the modern bride, and loved the idea of bridal photo session. We honestly just let her revel in the moment, have fun and it turned out beautifully.
