Party Recap

I'm more of a fan of throwing girly parties but Tate was desperate for a Minecraft birthday party so I had to indulge him. Tanner was a big help instructing me in all things Minecraft. He even downloaded me an App so that I knew what I was looking for when trying to match up candy with Minecraft elements. Who knew boys could be so detailed and picky!!! Everything at the party had a purpose and represented something from the game. The boys were totally thrilled and impressed so I'm happy that I pulled it off to their satisfaction. Now can I start planning something GIRLY please?!?

I purchased it from a backdrop company that I use for my photography studio. The website is lemondropstop.com

Angela, I'm not sure what you mean by the canvas? If your referring to the brick background, I purchased it from a company called lemondrop stop. The minecraft poster on the backdrop is from Walmart. They actually have several to choose from. The gold bars are favor boxes that I found on Amazon. Just do a search for gold bar favor boxes and they should pop right up! Hope that helps.

Katrina, I adore the styling of this party-amazing details!! I am planning a Minecraft party as well and I hope it's okay if I pick your crafty and clever brain? I really like the green "textured" table covering. Is that something that I could find online or did you purchase it at a specialty shop? Also, I like the clear containers you used for the food, specifically the jello. Can you share the source of those?

Jennifer, I actually got the green grass tablecloth at the Dollar Tree. It was with the football themed party supplies. I did however buy one in Amazon previous to finding the dollar store version so I know you can get one there. All of the clear plastic containers are from Walmart. They were in the party/wedding section. I hope this helps and your able to find what you need!

Great ideas! Curious about the T shirts? Is that paint, vinyl, or iron on? I've read that if you use an image and transfer paper to iron on, that after one wash it disappears. The green treat bags? Again, is that paint or marker? Thanks [email protected]

  • Karina R

    Karina R wrote:

Natalie, I used black felt for the tshirts and used an iron on backing. They didn't hold up well in the wash though. The favor bags were purchased from the Dollar Tree and we used permanent pen to make the creeper face.

Jane, the black stands were from Costco a few years ago. Addy, they are just chocolate pudding with crushed up Oreos mixed in. Topped with green frosting to look like grass.
