Party Recap

I recently gave a presentation to a group of local mom's giving them ideas and examples on how to add creative details to their party. I gave a Valentine's presentation with the theme of My Lil Love-Bug which was based on a punch buggy car. I used chocolate donuts as tires and placed them on “The Pastry Pedestal” as a “tire lift”. I covered the Pastry Pedestals with paper straws and a checkerboard ribbon. A love bug car sugar cookie was used as the centerpiece on a "lift" and matched the car on the printables. Round sugar cookies as “hugs” were used to mimic the tires on the printables and the x sugar cookies or “kisses” were used to resemble lug wrenches which are used to change tires (not that I’ve ever changed a tire”.) I explained to the mom's how I tied everything into the car theme but still used hearts throughout to tie in the Valentine's Day theme also. A simple black board with checkerboard flag cut outs is easy for any mom or dad to create. I explained that sometimes parents may feel like they aren't creative or crafty, but you really don't need to go overboard or spend tons of money. Little touches here and there and tying it all together makes for a detailed and adorable party! I hope you enjoy some pictures of the theme I presented to them.
