GREAT job!!! I was so happy to see some of my blog tutorials went to good use helping you pull together a fantastic party! I've had so much awesome feedback about it, but this is the first I've seen actual photos of someone else using the tutorials in their own party. LOVE it! : ) Jaimee @ Craft, Interrupted http://www.craftinterrupted.com/

I made my own template in Publisher. Just a long black text box, downloaded a Japanese font, and inserted a Google image of Cole from Ninjago! :)

Hi Ena, I made the headbands out of strips of muslin fabric, and then I printed out each child's name in an Asian font and traced through in black marker. :)

    Nawel V wrote:

Hi Ena! Sure, no problem - send me your e-mail address. However, my templates are in Publisher, so unless you have that program on your computer, you won't be able to open & view it. Or you could open it at a Kinko's or something?

  • Nawel V

    Nawel V wrote:

Hi Sarah, I used Bonzai font. I think it was already in my Word list of fonts, but if you don't have it, you might try downloading a free version. I think I also used Japonesa font for some things, as well. I think there's a free download of that, too. Good luck! :)

I lluuuuvv your party - EVERYTHING about it! So I am trying to copy (some of it cuz I cannot pull that of!), but I am having a hard time finding the "printables" on the internet - free ones :). I got some stuff from Jaimee's craft interrupted... but i wanted to use your prints if you are ok with that. Where did you get your stuff? Would you be able to send me the info please? The cupcakes and the water bottle labels is primary what I am after. Thanks a bunch!

Hi Nanda! Aw, thank you so much!! We had a blast planning this party, and my son was thrilled at everything, so that's what matters most. :) In terms of the cupcake toppers and the water bottle labels, I made those myself. I'm sure you can find very very similar ones (that's where I got my inspiration) on Pinterest or Etsy. I'd be more than happy to share mine with you for free, but I made all of them in Publisher, so I'm not sure if you have that program or not? If so, let me know and I can shoot them over to you by e-mail, OR if you want, you could go to Kinko's or something and open them up/work on them there? I know they have Publisher... let me know what you prefer! :) Take care.

Hi! Your stuff looks fantastic! I was wondering if you might be able to e-mail me a copy of the invitation you made in Publisher, or let me know how you converted the poster from the Lego website from a .pdf so I can open it in Publisher! I was going to make a birthday poster from it for my guy, but can't get it to open in Publisher. Thanks!!!

Hi Lisette, usre, send me your e-mail address and I'll forward the template I created for the invite. You can just lift the photo off of the template, if you wanted to make a poster. :)

Hi, I was wondering how you did the head bands with the kids names on them? Where did you order them from and how did you get them lettered?

  • Nawel V

    Nawel V wrote:

Hi Danielle, I actually made the headbands (with a little help from my mom!), and the lettering I did with a Sharpie (I printed each name in my ninja font, and then traced through onto the headband). But the idea came from a blog I found, and she's very detailed on the instructions as to how to make them. Here you go: http://www.craftinterrupted.com/2012/05/ninja-party-headbands.html Good luck with your party!

    Jennifer E wrote:

did you just cut the fabric in strips or was there ANY sewing involved?

  • Nawel V

    Nawel V wrote:

Hi Jennifer! Yes, there was a little bit of sewing involved, which I "assigned' to my mom. ha! After I printed the names on the bottom half of the muslin strips, she folded them in half (name inside), sewed along the edge, and then turned the headbands inside out so that the name now showed on the front, and the sewn seam was on the inside. Hope that helps! This website gives excellent instructions - http://www.craftinterrupted.com/2012/05/ninja-party-headbands.html Good luck! :)
