Party Recap

I can’t believe my little guy is one. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home and we didn’t know quite what to do with him or ourselves.

Owen has grown into one amazing toddler, who is full of personality and love that has brought so much joy to our family. I love him more than he will ever know and I wanted his first birthday party to be really special.

I have been in love with the fox trend and Owen has been styling this winter with his fox clothes. So, I knew I wanted him to have a Mr. Foxy Fox birthday party. We had an amazing celebration with our family full of fun, laughter and good food.

Party Highlights

  • Desserts

For dessert we had s'more bars, s'more peanut butter cups, cake and cupcakes. I decided on s'more treats to keep with the winter and woodland theme.

  • Budget

    $300 (includes decorations and food)

  • What People Ate

For lunch we had three soups (Chili, Potato & Ham, and Chicken Dumpling Soup), two salads (Broccoli and Tortellini Salad, and Olive Garden Salad), bread sticks and cheese bread. I wanted everything to be winter themed, so I thought soup and salad would be perfect to serve our guests.

  • Best Moment

The smashing of the birthday cake. I loved seeing my son's face when we song happy birthday to him and gave him his cake.

  • Funniest Moment

Owen started walking after Christmas and he had not seen his cousin Kian since then. We were all eating and Kian yells, "Owen's walking, Owen's walking". It was so fun to see Kian's reaction to his little cousin's new walking skills and the interaction between the two of them. Kian then decided to run around the living room to see if Owen could keep up with him. Owen tired really hard to keep up with his older cousin, but just couldn't quite do it yet. :) Maybe in a couple months he will be running around with Kian.

  • Most Touching Moment

Having our family together to celebrate our little man.

  • Best Dressed

The birthday boy in his adorable one shirt and jeans.
