Party Recap

I had so much fun putting this retro theme together! My inspiration came from the CPN Memphis meetup that I was fortunate to attend this past November. It was very Elvis like and I fell in love with the idea of doing a very Pink Elvis Christmas Party for my daughter and a couple of her friends. All of the funiture the items sat on where from my house so that worked out in my favor. The white changing table was used as my dessert station and on the background I decided to hang different strands of ribbon hot glued to a dowel. I've seen this done before but can't remember where, I just know that it stayed in my mind and I've always wanted to try a ribbon background! The other dresser had my daughters pink Christmas tree that we added black bulbs to. I wanted records all over so I got some of those and in the middle glued glittery scrapbook paper. They also served as the childrens placemats (another detail/inspiration from the CPN Memphis meetup) All the fondant toppers on the cupcakes are from the very talented Lynlee's Petite Cakes, including the vinyl record pops and the vinyl records all over the cake. I saw the bulbs filled with candy on another site and decided to give it a try too. I didn't want too many treats but enough fun ones and this fit perfectly. The vinyl cookies came from Bee's Knees Creative and where beyond tasty. (we stole a taste the day prior, haha...)
Each girl recieved their own pettiskirt and pink elvis top. The tops were super easy to make! I purchased white shirts from Hobby Lobby and printed out a pink elvis on transfer paper and ironed them on! Voila!
I made a small station for the kids to make their own necklace and bracelet and they very much enjoyed that. Once their jewelry was made and on, they got to decorate their own cookies! Each girl also recieved a white apron that I personalized with an iron on tree and their name so they could wear while decorating their cookies! They also each had their very own Santa Letter that Chickabug very kindly changed the colors to match my party! All the girls had so much fun and I'm so happy that they got so many treats to go home with!
I'm also very excited to say that all the printables in the collection that I made are available for free!!
