Party Recap

My first boy baby shower!

My inspiration came from an unfinished wooden guitar frame I found at my local craft store. As soon as I arrived home, I began to brush the guitar with textured black paint and later added some details and my piece was finished.

The cake was a combination of three different cakes. I could not settle on one specific design so I had the help of my cousin who made the final draft and the results as already seen in the photos.
Since the event was a "Rock Star" themed baby shower, I had the idea of creating a scenario to use for the cake stand.
To create the scenario I used four 5x5x5 glass vases placed forming a square shape and installed a thick piece of glass on top of the vases to bear the weight of the cake. Inside each vase I placed a wireless phosphorescent lighting to illuminate the scheme and give it a little more of a Rock Star feeling.

I also added red rhinestones to both the cupcakes stands and glass pedestal dessert stands.

The centerpieces on the guest tables were built of red roses and vases covered with black paper. On each vase I complemented it with either a sequins shaped guitar or a sequins heart with angel wings.
Straws were labeled, custom napkin rings and cupcake toppers were made by yours truly.

The Cake, Cupcakes and Macaroons were made by Vyanka from Little Sugar Shop.www.littlesugarshop.com
