Selected as Party of the Day on March 23rd!
Royal 4th Princess & Pirates Ball
ByParty Recap
This was a super fun party to plan and believe it or not it was done on a limited budget using many items we had on hand. My daughter is very much a "party girl", and she actually picked the princess and pirate theme herself! Mommy just made it into a royal ball surely fit for a princess!! I decorated every inch of the backyard myself in black, white, pink and damask royal finery... I used silk flowers I had leftover from another event to decorate my moms silver candelabras and "treasure chests" found at homegoods. The glittery skeletons were actually leftover holloween decorations, in addition to the hanging chandeliers. The crystals used were formally crystal tree strands from a wedding. The beautiful damask runners were originally used for a "50 and Fab" party I threw for my mom. My daughter and I made the "royal castle" using cardboard, scrapbook paper, paint and tons of glitter!!! The royal banners are actually table runners my daughter and I glamed up. By combining so many elements we already had- it just all
came together beautifully! A big hit with the children and the adults... I provided tons of princess and pirate accessories for the boys and girls to play dress-up. Activities included a treasure hunt, relay race, dragon hunt (piñata), and of course a royal dance! It was a great time had by all....The best part- my daughter and I did it together (and I am still cleaning up glittter to prove it-lol)! Enjoy!
