Sabine's 4th Birthday Party

My daughter is such a little princess and adores her sleeping beauty very much. She loves drawing and colouring rainbows so I incorporated the two: Disney Princess and Rainbows. I imported everything from the Disney store and it was a spectacular party especially when the an adult sized sleeping beauty arrived and entertained the girls. My daughter said it was the best day ever.

• What People Ate

  The Buffet Table consisted of: Crystal Sticks, Coloured Popcorn, Lollipops, Detailed Princess Cupcakes, Rainbow Coloured Jelly Oranges, Heart shaped Fairy Bread, Cheese Windmill Sandwiches, Gingerbread Cookies, Sherbert Cones, Tea Cups, Macarons, Sausage Rolls and Party Pies.

• What People Drank

  Rainbow Cordial - I had every colour available: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, Purple and Orange.

• Best Moment

  I hired an actress 'Sleeping Beauty' to arrive and perform for the girls and on her grand entrance had all the girls squealing and in awe of her, she took their breath away and she entertained them for an hour.

• Funniest Moment

  When it came to put the candles on the cake and go to light them, we had no lighter. Since we hired the hall there was no place to get a lighter near by.... thankfully one parent was a smoker and had his lighter.

• Best Dressed

  All the 8 little princesses were best dressed!

• Desserts

  The Rainbow Castle Cake It took 3 days to make the different coloured layers and then 12 hours to assemble and decorate. A masterpiece of yumminess :-)

• Party Favors

  A Facebook Page called "Lovely Little Things" made all the hair accessories (as seen in the photos). I Disney Store bought favor bags, a Disney Princess drink container (see in the pictures); wand; rings; stickers; lollies, tiaras and chocolates.

• The Rainbow Castle Cake

  This cake took forever to make, all my blood, sweat and tears went into it. On unveiling the cake on the table all the girls stopped playing and ran to the cake table. They were gobsmacked and so were the parents, it stood there so yummy everyone wanted to eat it, then we I took the first cut into the cake, everyone went "WOW". Hearing everyone commenting and appreciating this cake made it the highlight for me and my daughter said it was the best cake and best birthday party ever!
