“You are My Sunshine” Baby Shower

The Mommy-to-Be Sabrina Furtado, is expecting a Baby Girl. She chose a “Sunflower” theme, to be showered with gifts from her friends and family. This adorable “You are my Sunshine” shower, was covered with beautiful details, and TONS of desserts. Paola and Sandra from Say I Do to Details styled the party along with the dessert table, created the custom stationary for the games, and thought of each detail to make this event an unforgettable shower. Lots of credits also needs to be given to the Mommy-to-Be, and the future Mother-in-law Mirela Villaca who also worked really hard and poured their heart, soul and sweat, to craft the party favors and many other details of this shower.

Since the party was only for 3 hours, and about 40 guests, we decided to keep it simple with only a few quick games:

“How big is Mommy’s Belly?” – Guests cut a piece of yarn to the length they thought it would fit perfectly around the mommy’s belly. Whoever got the closest was the winner!
“Guess the baby Food Flavor!”- Guests were given 5 different baby foods, and were supposed to the guess the flavor each based on the food color. Whoever got the most correct guesses was the winner!
Chocolate Candy Bar: Guess the Sweet Mess! – Dirty diapers … “Take a whiff! One by one, take a look and (smell) into each of these “dirty diapers” and write down your guesses on what made the doo! – Guests had to discover the type of chocolate on each diaper
“Diaper Raffle” Guests brought a bag of diapers and wrote their names on raffle tickets. At end of the shower, a name was drawn for the winner.

Champagne and Crepes were party of the menu, along with some gourmet sandwiches and specialty desserts. Guests and mommy-to-be had a lot of fun, while honoring the Mommy-to-Be, to welcome baby Maya into this world.
