Sandra's 40th Birthday Celebration

Next week I'll be turning 40, so to celebrate we went to Phillip Island for the weekend. We hired a holiday house and our family and friends came for a BBQ lunch on Sunday. After lunch we went to the beach, hired some wetsuits and surfboards and had some fun.

I had just as much fun in the planning of my event as I did in the event itself! I poured over pinterest for ideas for how I wanted my party to look. I knew that I wanted a chalkboard vintage theme. Having my birthday in Spring (in Australia) I was able to use some of the beautiful roses from my garden to decorate the table with. Check out our website for more details!

  Trifle, Red Velvet Cake with Raspberries ,Choc-mint Cheesecake, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, Cake Pops, Creme Brûlée, Cupcakes

  Lunch together followed by playing and surfing at the Beach.

  French Champagne, Lemon Iced Tea with Mint, Wine and Beer

• Best Moment

  Seeing all of the decorations all set up. So excited, it was better than I imagined it would look! Seeing my parent's reaction to how it all looked was special too - they were very impressed.

• Most Touching Moment

  Informal speeches by my Husband and Mother before blowing out the candles on my cake.
