Sienna & Slade's GOOD VIBES Birthday Party!

Planning a joint gender party, for 2 different age groups, is no easy feat! I went with a "GOOD VIBES" theme... think rainbows, flowers, and roller skates for my 7 year old daughter Sienna, coupled with all things cool... smiley faces, sunglasses, and lightening bolts, for my almost 4 year old son Slade. We had planned an outdoor garden bash but quickly had to pivot to a covered patio space when the forecast looked ominous for the party. To appease both genders we had face painting, cotton candy making, and a magic show... along with hair braiding and plenty of arts and crafts (make your own sunglasses, and painting wooden wall hangings). We also had lawn games including oversized Jenga and Connect 4 that kept both the kids and adults having fun (along with the live music band playing out in front and an open bar under the covered patio). The rain held off, the covering provided great shade, and everyone enjoyed the food, entertainment, sweet treats and loads of activities. Happy Birthday Sienna & Slade!

• What People Ate

  I always like to offer a lot of options for our guests in order to ensure a great time is had by all! There was NYC's finest pizza pies from the iconic Prince Street, sandwiches from the famous Faicco's Deli, and plenty of sweet treats!

• What People Drank

  We had an open top shelf bar (perfect to accompany a live band and a midday summer soiree) serving mixed drinks including Bellinis, Mimosas and fun tequila drinks, as well as beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks such a lemon and cucumber infused waters.

• Desserts

  This is always our favorite when planning a party! We wanted not one, but two, great cakes for our kiddos to celebrate with! Sienna opted for a funfetti filled with chocolate buttercream filling and Slade went for a chocolate cake with real strawberry jam inside. Delicious!! Then we also had Rice Krispie treats, cake pops, and covered Oreos as well for guests to pick on.

• Party Favors

  Kiddos got to create custom sunglasses, as well as color their own wooden signs (think rainbows, flowers, peace signs) to go home with. They also filled their own goodie bags with snap bracelets, temporary tattoos, and smiley lollipops

• Activities / Games

  There was plenty to do to keep the fun happening at Sienna & Slade's birthday party. From face painting to hair braiding... a magic show... photos and interacting with Iron Man and Rapunzel... a cotton candy station... and plenty of lawn games... there was no shortage of fun! The live band also kept the adult guests entertained as well.
