Party Recap

My daughter Talula was turning three and there was nothing she loved more than Minnie Mouse! I decided to change it up a bit by putting a glittery sweet twist to the traditional Minnie Mouse theme. I achieved this by using glittery gold accents, pale pinks and creams, a subtle leopard print and rhinestone accents to complete this adorable theme!
I always start by designing the invitation followed by all the fun party printables like food tents, favor tags, straw flags and place cards. I decided to add glittery gold Minnie ears thoughout the design to keep the theme cohesive and Minnie-rific!
I loved all the feminine details of this party like the ruffled backdrop of the dessert table, or the adorable gold headbands adorned with a darling pink bow the little girls were all given to wear. But my favorite would have to be the custom birthday dress I made for Miss Talula to wear. It was trimmed with a pale leopard pattern around the neck and arms and adorned with a pink bow accented with delicate white feathers, a rhinestone center and finished with a most fabulous matching hair accessory!
Some of my favorite details of the party included the glittery gold dessert table skirt adorned with sweet tassels, the beautiful gold cake topper and last but certainly not least, was the "minnie" table set perfectly in front of the dessert table for Miss Talula and her little guests to enjoy their Minnie inspired lunch! We served the girls Minnie shaped grilled cheese, fruit, "minnie" veggies and dip and for dessert everyone enjoyed Minnie shaped sugar cookies and delectable vanilla cupcakes!
I do hope you enjoy this party as much as we did and perhaps find some inspiration for your next party!

Hi Daisy, I had it made at a local print shop that had a laser cutter to cut wood. I then painted it and added the glitter Minnie ears. You may be able to find something similar on Etsy? And then just add glitter card stock circles for Minnie ears! Hope this helps!

Hi Angela, I'm not sure what the font is. Sorry. The printing shop that made it used their font. Thanks for inquiring though. :)

Hello Misha, I Love how you did everything. I want to make this theme for my daughter 1st Birthday. One question what are the sizes for the Styrofoam balls. The ones you have on the centerpieces with the flowers and square vases.

Hi, can I ask how you how you have made the styrofoam Minnie centerpieces? Have you purchased them with the ears attached? I have tried to make them by sticking smaller balls as ears, but yours look great!

Hi Helen, Yes, I did make them. The trick is to cut the 2 smaller ear balls almost in half and sculp it a bit to fit to the circumference of the larger head ball.. Then glue them on and paint and glitter them! :)
