Party Recap

This past February, I had the pleasure of styling and designing a Winter ONE-derland themed 1st birthday for an adorable little girl named Esma. And it turned out just as magical as I had envisioned it as you will see thanks to Heatherlynnphotographie for beautifully capturing this ONE-derful event!
I wanted to transform the whole venue into a true Winter Wonderderland. I first chose the color scheme of white, silver, mint and turquoise which I thought was soft and sweet. I then covered nearly all the walls with winter white drapes, hung glittery silver and white snowflakes, flanked the dessert table with glittery white life-size trees and blanketed faux snow everywhere I could think! I also DIYed several adorable tree decorations simply by using heavy paper fashioned into cones and coffee filters! (The things you can do with coffee filters! Who knew?)
The dessert table has always been one of my favorite to style. For the focal point, I hung a sweet, white oval frame with a large turquoise {E} in the middle surrounded by glittery snowflakes. The table was adorned with a gorgeous gathered silver skirt. The beautifully designed cake created by Frosted Cupcakes and Cakes was of course the masterpiece of the dessert table! It was surrounded by mini mint green, vanilla cupcakes, whimsical cake pops and a fabulous powdered doughnut hole tree.
Sitting directly in front of the gorgeous dessert table was a darling child sized table topped with a sparkly silver table runner and wonderful favors for the children to wear and play with. There were whimsical headbands for the little girls, dapper bow-ties for the little boys and even magical snowflake wands for all!
Another sweet element, I love to include in 1st birthdays is a special display honoring the child’s milestones. For this party I added an adorable banner of black and white pictures from newborn to 11 months. And above the table were 2 18x24 posters hung by turquoise ribbon. One of the birthday girl and one with all her first birthday stats. On the table, I placed a sweet guest book for all the guests to sign along with a stack of adorable polar fleece scarf favors!
It’s all in the details and this party certainly wasn’t lacking any! It was a magical day that I was honored to be part of and I hope you find it as magical as I did!
