You Are My Sunshine

"But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine." Thomas Jefferson

This quote is immensely beautiful and true. I have been blessed with the most divine friends, most of whom have been my sunshine for over half my life. I recently hosted an afternoon tea, to celebrate Valentine's day with these beautiful women.

The colour palette used for this occasion was yellow with white and a hint of grey. I chose yellow because it is the colour of friendship and sunshine and is associated with joy, happiness, intellect and energy.

The dessert table featured a white chocolate cake, vanilla dream and lemon curd cupcakes, lemon macarons, Tim Tam cookie pops and sugar heart cookies.

The girls sipped on a variety of teas, accompanied by lemon and honey demitasse sticks and took home white favour boxes which they filled with bon bons, jelly beans and rock candy crystal sticks.

It was such a lovely afternoon and fittingly a gorgeous, warm, sunny one.
