Party Recap

This is my son's 3rd birthday party, his adventure to Never Neverland as Peter Pan. I'm not a professional party planner. I just love planning and crafting parties. We had a great day!

Hi Christina, Thank you so much for your kind words. I actually created the invitations and envelopes myself, borrowing ideas here and there from others and put it all together. I am not a professional party planner and never created invitations for anyone other than friends and family. But I may consider it, if you're interested. My email is [email protected]. Feel free to contact me. Thanks again! Pamela

Hi Monica, Thanks for catching my party! I created the envelopes in pages on my mac. The top names are in font Rapscallion, regular, size 36. The parents names on the line below are the same font, size 18. The actual address is Hoefler Text, in italic, size 14. The silhouettes are just a google image. I searched 'Peter Pan flying' and once I found the one I liked, I dragged the image onto the envelope into the position I preferred. It's rather simple, but together it created a rather sweet outcome. Pamela

Hi Monica, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner regarding the map. I actually just googled Neverland Map under images to find it. I then imported the image into my pages program and added text boxes to insert the invitation on the scroll as well as onto the bottom for the map directions. I also used tools in pages to create the line that took them from the start to finish and another text box to X marks the spot. Hope this helps! :)

I just love your invitations! I found the same image on google but am having trouble in pages editing the image. First of all how did you get it to flip to landscape and secondly how did you insert a text box of the same color as the scroll? I tried on my mothers computer which has Word and I was able to flip the image but no luck on finding a color to match the scroll. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Wonderful party, I love so many of your details!

Hi Gretchen, thank you! This was a fun party to create. I'm not sure if you are asking if I flipped the image to landscape or the page to landscape. For the image when you are in pages you click on the corner of the image and press 'shift' and 'command' together and then use your mouse to turn the image. For the page, I always just open the new file in landscape. As far as the scroll text box, on your format bar, click on 100% opacity, so you can just see right through the text box to the image behind which is the scroll. Hope this helps! Enjoy your party! Hi Kristen, It was a simple google search for "Neverland Map". Then I and created the invitation by adding text boxes to insert the invitation wording on the scroll as well as onto the bottom for the map directions. I also used tools in pages (I have a Mac) to create the line that took them from the start to finish and another text box to X marks the spot. Hope this helps!
