Party Recap...
For my daughter's second birthday we planned a trip to my husband's homeland Colombia. I had been dreaming about having an outdoor party since my daughter was born and this was just perfect. Almost all the decorations were hand made. I brought the cake toppers and printables from US, and everything else we bought in Colombia. It was way cheaper there and they had a great selection of beautiful party supplies. My family in Colombia helped me put the party together in no time, and it turned out better than I could have ever dreamt of. Everybody had an awesome time, especially the little ones. It's all about them, in the end!
Party Highlights
What People Ate
We hired a cook to do the grilling. We served Steak, chicken, chorizo, potatoes, salad and rice.
What People Drank
We didn't prepare any particular drinks since Colombians prefer to drink liquor straight-up. We had whisky, beer, aguardiente, rum, sodas and juices.
Dessert
We had a dessert table with a chocolate fountain, fruits, marshmallows and waffers. We also served ice cream, mini cupcakes and the birthday cake.
Party Favors
My mother in law's friend is an artist and he designed a hand painted mini frame with my daughter's picture on it. We also had presents for every kid at the party.
