Party Recap

What an awesome venue! Our large party had plenty of room to run around, be loud, pet and feed all kinds of animals, and enjoy a long hay ride! The covered pavillion was the perfect setting for "Cowgirl Ava's Country Store" aka our dessert table. Because it was hot I knew I didn't want to do anything chocolate or melty and I wanted to include something refreshing. So we made our set up like a little country store with small glassine bags of cherries, a peck basket full of apples, and another full of peaches. We also had watermelon slices on popsicle sticks, sugar cookies, buttered popcorn and caramelcorn, and salt water taffy. I had no idea how popular the fruit would be with the kids! There wasn't a single scrap left. We also used little wooden pint boxes (like you would see at a farmer's market) and had mini sandwiches and chips. Our watering hole had capri suns and lots of bottled water. We had a table set up to "Grab your gear" with cowboy hats, bandanas, and sheriff badges for all the kids. It was a great party!
