Well, I had been planning my daughters back yard camp out for about 4 months, I had so many plans and ideas everything was running smoothly until about two hours before her party right as we were starting to set up... I checked the weather we had a 0% chance of rain... that's when it started pouring! Like insane thunderstorm pouring... I had all of my wood cake stands outside as well as the green canopy hanging from the tree. Needless to say those were all ruined. To make matters worse the power went out.. which means the birthday cakes we were making did not happen as well as the giant marshmallows I had planned to dip in chocolate... Once the weather let up and the sun came out we couldn't decide if we should set up outdoors or inside. We went with inside hoping the power would come on. 30 mins before guests were supposed to arrive we still had no power so we made the quick decision to move everything outside where it was cooler and now drying out. Needless to say the start of Camp Presley was hectic in the end though it all worked out and the girls had an amazing night that they will hopefully remember for long time. They enjoyed creating their own trail mix, putting the tents together, going on a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood, roasting hot dogs and of course S'mores! To top it all off they piled on blankets in the yard and watched Camp Rock on the outdoor movie screen.. :)
What People Ate
Create your own trail mix... Pretzels, raisins, m&m's and peanuts. We roasted hotdogs and of course S'mores. We also had cake and cup cakes..
What People Drank
The next morning watching all the girls play freeze dance it was too cute!
The entire night the girls were having non stop fun!
S'more Fun Bags.. With graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. They also had their "Camp Presley" canteens.
