My now six year old son, Gavin, loves airplanes- paper airplanes, toy airplanes, rocket style planes and of course commercial airplanes. What fun I had planning this party for him. With lots of inspiration from Pinterest and Catch My Party, I transformed a Gym into Gavin Air's Airport.
The best moment of the day for Gavin was getting to launch the rockets, with the help of Uncle Billy.
At the Pilot's Lounge "Gavin Air" passengers could munch on sweets while pilots in training were preparing for take off.
At Baggage Claim all passenagers of Gavin Air could pick up there personalized luggage. Infants were given mini suitcases with their name hand painted on the outside, which held travel sized body wash on the inside. Toddlers to big kids took home larger luggage pieces filled with a Airplane chocolate pop, a Matchbox airplane, Plane kite, Airplane coloring book, Travel Storybook and the older of the childeren were given foam table top rocket launchers.
Activities / Games
Plane Maintenance Table- Kids painted their own wooden airplane to take home. Flight Training- Kids made and decorated paper airplanes and took turns throwing them through a flight training zone (hanging hula hoops). Four different rocket airplanes were launched off in the outdoor area behind the municipal building.
