Party Recap

Jack turned three, and since he didn't have any specific favorite thing I could turn into a theme besides balloons, we decided to just have a good, old-fashioned party with a scavenger hunt. It turned out beautifully thanks to lots of Pinterest inspiration and a few of my own twists.

Party Highlights

  • Best Dressed

My son wore a shirt that said, "Happy Birthday to Me!"

  • Desserts

    Cupcakes & Candy Pops!

  • Activities / Games

Scavenger Hunt! The kids took a parent and hunted for things in our yard. They got to keep the lemons they picked, as well as any other treasures, and received a prize for finishing the hunt.

  • Budget

Oh goodness.. I don't think I followed a budget- and now we're feeling it! But it was so fun!

  • Party Favors

    Treat bags with M&Ms.

  • Best Moment

Singing "Happy Birthday" to my son, even if he was grumpy from having his fingers slammed in the door (by me).

  • What People Ate

We kept it simple in terms of the main meal- giant pizzas from a local pizza place. We had snacks for the kids upon arrival, plus fruit kabobs and some chips.

  • What People Drank

Plenty of bottled water and juice boxes for the kids. For the adults, beer, old fashioned sodas (like Bubble Up and Dad's Root Beer), and Izze drinks.

  • Funniest Moment

Watching the kids do the hunt- they were so fun to watch.
