Thanks Annie, I got the wooden boxes from Michael's but I've also seen them at AC Moore and JoAnn Fabrics depending on what you have near you. They're so versatile, I've used them for everything! Donna
This is fantastic! Where did you get the signs and labels?
Thank you KC! I made them, I still have most of them saved if you are interested. I am happy to email the PDFs to you. My email is: donna.fabulousfetes@yahoo.com
Do you still have these in PDF to print?! I would love to get them from you! Also, where did you find the train whistles?!?
Hi! I love what you did for the train party. My son who is going to be 3 in May wants a train party, but I didn't want Thomas. I was looking for more of a vintage train party. If you still have your signs in PDF can I please get them from you. I've tried making signs and its not really working. Thanks!
This looked like a great party! Do you still have the PDF to print. It would be great to get them. I am wanting to do a train theme for my son's 2nd bday party. Also, where did you find the train whistles?
We'd love you to leave a comment, but you need to be logged in.
Party Recap...
My youngest son is onto all things Thomas the Tank Engine. Since I'm not the biggest fan of character parties, I tried to lean more towards a 'vintage train' theme, although, how could I deny him SOME Thomas decor??
Party Highlights
What People Ate
I opted to have a chili bar that I saw featured on Celebrations at Home blog (Chris Nease is brilliant). I served top it yourself chili, hot dogs, potato skins and individual bags of fritos that you open, fill and go!
What People Drank
Iced Tea, Lemonade, juice boxes and water...and of course there was wine and beer for the adults
Dessert
Train cake and cupcakes
Activities / Games
We played chugga-chugga, choo-choo (spin off on duck-duck, goose) and pass the hot coal (hot potato) and there was a Thomas the Train photo backdrop
Party Favors
The kids each went home with an engineers hat, bandana, a piece of coal stuffed with Thomas gummies and a train whistle
